October 10, The Iran Project - An Iranian deputy energy minister announced that Iran and Germany agreed on financing and implementing a comprehensive project of integrated management of the countrys water resources along the Zayandeh Rood.
Explaining the details of the new German-Iranian cooperation in electricity and energy industries, Ali Akbar Mohajeri, deputy energy minister for research and human resources affairs said the two countries that have long cooperated in research areas, have now great opportunities for scientific and research exchanges in post sanctions era.
The official noted that Iran has already started new round of talks with German companies in the field of electricity and energy.
Referring to the establishment of Iran-Germnays joint research working group in electricity and energy sectors, Mohajeri said about 50 large research projects have already been defined of which 40 projects designed by Energy Research Institute and 10 by Water Research Institute.
"We need foreign participation for implementing and completing the research projects in water and electricity," he said, adding one of the most important aspects of cooperation with German companies isnow in the fields of production, transmission and distribution of electricity and manufacturing different types of turbines.
Head of German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, head of German Research Foundation (DFG), and the president of Max Planck Society(MPG)visited Tehran on Monday to start new round of talks with the Islamic Republic in the utilities industry.
